Hi again…

My name is Alicia Aceituno, and I’m the founder of Markit Girl. I was born and raised in Guatemala City—perhaps that’s why I have such a deep appreciation for nature, which is reflected in my branding. I’m also a Virgo, and if you’re familiar with astrology, you’ll know that Virgos are known for being organized, perfectionist, artistic, and analytical—which I couldn’t agree with more. These traits have shaped not only who I am but also how I approach my work in marketing.

You might think my passion for marketing started in college—after all, I earned my Bachelor's in Marketing with a minor in Business Analytics—but in reality, it all began with my first client: a small business in Downtown Denville. I didn’t just fall in love with their products; I was captivated by the owner's passion and dedication. There’s something truly inspiring about small businesses—their resilience, their dreams, and their ability to bring unique products and services to their communities.

After the pandemic, there was a major shift in consumer behavior. People were staying home more, online shopping skyrocketed, and unfortunately, many small businesses struggled to stay afloat. I saw firsthand how difficult it was for these business owners to reach their audience in an increasingly digital world. That’s when I knew I had to do something. I combined my expertise in marketing with my love for storytelling and set out to help small businesses grow their social media presence, increase their visibility, and connect with their ideal customers.

Marketing isn’t just about selling a product—it’s about building a brand, creating a community, and making a lasting impact. In today’s digital world, social media is one of the most powerful tools to do just that.

Don’t underestimate the power of social media—when done right, the sky is the limit. So what are you waiting for? Your brand’s transformation starts now!
